back from the beach

We were blessed to be asked to join some sweet friends of ours to stay at their beach house in Seaside, OR, over the 4th of July weekend.  I can't wait to share more photos from our stay.  We had such a fun time.

life and photos in a random way

It's June 22nd.  That's crazy to me.  That means 4th of July is next weekend.  Seriously, where does the time go?  I want this summer to go sloooooow.  There's no need for it to hurry on by.  I don't know why life does that.

So far summer has been great.  Sun everyday.  Swimming in the pond everyday.  Turning white skin to pink skin to hopefully tan skin everyday.  I love it.

I'm finally getting around to sharing photos from when Tricia and family came to visit.  I love it when family comes to visit.  I honestly never want them to leave.  Do you hear me family?!  Come back.

caleb likes to eat.

Ava doesn't really like to eat, she just likes to snack.

I love this cute boy.

The little cousins.

Tricia and her sweet belly and baby.  Baby boy #2 coming in August.

Two of the most amazing people I know; my mom and dad.  The way they live their lives so full of grace and Christ's love is such testimony to me.  I can only hope and pray I bear the fruit of their godly example in my life. <3

The other night we went to dinner out at Roche Harbor.  It was a glorious night... the most beautiful light.  I wanted to take photos of my 3 and I had a spot in mind; I've been driving by it for days.  I wanted to use Stella's fabric banner and the beautiful quilt I got from my mom...well the spot had grass as tall as a house so it didn't work.  We made our way to English camp instead, but by the time we got out there the sun was fading fast and so were their cheerful happy faces apparently!  ha!

I love these three.  If I could freeze time I would, like a year ago.

So I'm painting my kitchen/living room.  I'm trying to find a gray.  It's a disaster.  Every wall is a different color and I don't like any of them.  Picking out paint is for the birds.

I'm taking photos of some pretty cool handbags.  They make my house smell so good; all that fresh leather smell.  I'll share more about that and where to find them later.  (notice the gray shade of the walls in the pic??  yeah, it's not going to stay that way for long.)

Last Saturday we went to the west side for a hike.  My kids call it an adventure.  It was fun.  Jonah had to be in the front the.entire.time.  Such a boy.  When we got home Ava, without saying a word, went straight upstairs.  After like 5 minutes I went to check on her and I found her like this.  It made me laugh.  The girl likes her naps.  She asks for them.  I love her.

I ordered a new little toy from photojojo.  It's a wide angle/macro adaptor for your lens.  I tried out the macro here.  It was fun to focus on the tiny details without spending major $$ on a macro lens.  I'm glad I caught her little tongue hanging out.  I'll never forget how she licks her sheets to fall asleep. :)

Happy Summer, friends!

I miss you blog

Hi.

It's me.  I blogged about the wedding I photographed 2 weeks ago today on my photography blog.  I thought I'd share the link on here.  The bloggy isn't all fixed up the way I'd like it yet, but I wanted to show the wedding images bigger than what I can on facebook.  Facebook is stinky for photos anyway.  So here's the link -  www.saraparsonsphotography.com  - and the reason for all the quiet around here on this old blog of mine.  I just read all my comments on my facebook page and I'm literally so choked up... it may have something to do with the fact that I went to bed at 2am last night, but I honestly am just so so so thankful for the support of my friends.  It means the world to me.

Good night all.

bri's maternity session!!

I loved everything about this session, these two are the cutest couple ever.  We met up at Discovery Park in Seattle.  We looked up photos of the place on the internet.  It looked awesome; reminded me of South Beach here in Friday Harbor.  Well.... we didn't really know our way around the place and I blame it on the lack of signage!  We hiked a couple miles up with clothes, step ladders.... only to find out that we could have driven up to the top.  Haha!  We got our workout.  We never did find the exact spot we were looking for because according to the map (which some nice lady gave us because we literally had no idea where we were going; the place is HUGE!) it looked like it was a ways away.  So instead, we found a nice grassy area with some sun and some shade.  It was perfect.  With these two, you don't need much.

Thanks Bri and Phil!  I had so much fun and I cannot wait for baby girl to arrive!!

when they came to visit

Finally, I'm blogging.  We had so much fun when Sean's brother and family came to visit.  I wish they lived next door.   Here's a little glimpse into their visit to our crazy house...

We ate good thanks to Nathan who stopped at Costco before coming.

Yep, that's 10 dozen eggs and there are 7 gallons of milk in the fridge.

Ella liked to play in Ava's seat.

The girls played a lot of playdoh.

Jonah and Collin played a lot of Hot Wheels.

We drank some hot chocolate.  Why, you ask... because it rained almost the entire time they were here.

They swung and swung and swung some more and always with Pirates Booty in hand.

We went for a hike up Mt. Young and had a little picnic.

We payed a visit to the park and guess what?  They swung on the swings.

They took the Harley out for a spin.

We took some family photos and Sean even got a ticket on the way out to American camp.  Awesome.

Thanks for coming, Nathan and Rebecca.  Come again real soon.  xo
