This is a picture of Matt, Jackie and their children Dustin, Tesa, and twins Taylor and Jordyn. Jackie is the sister to Steve King, my brother-in-law. They just found out a couple weeks ago that Matt has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome. This is a very rare blood disease and a precursor to Acute Myeloid Leukemia. In order for Matt to be cured he is going to need a stem cell transplant, or a miracle from our Great God! They had a stem cell drive here the past couple days, looking for a match for Matt. So please pray them. Pray that they find a match soon, because time is of the essence. Pray also for continued strength and peace for the whole family. There is a long road ahead of them, but with Christ it is possible by taking it one day at a time. As it says in Philippians 4:13, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.
So if you are here at my blog and reading this, please just take a minute and pray. I believe, with all my heart, in the power of prayer and I know this family covets each and every one of our prayers.
James 5:16 "...The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
1 John 5:14 "This is the confidence we have in approaching God:that if
we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if
we know that he hears us - whatever we ask -
we know that we
have what we asked of him."

Sara I will be praying for them...Do you know what it takes if you are actually a match?
Thanks Amber. He'll need the bone marrow from the donor if they are a match. I'm not sure where they take the bone marrow from, as far as the hips or wherever, but once Matt undergoes Chemo. then they'll start the transplant.
Just prayed for them!!! Please keep us posted. Love, Kate
