And I LOVE that Jonah has on ear muffs-or ear phones? Whatever you call it that's so stinkin' cute! Doesn't it just make you smile when they start wanting to do exactly what Daddy does. Your little Jonah is just so sweet.
So stinkin' cute! With only girls around, I don't get to see that adorable scene play itself out at my house. Somehow I'm thinking a twelve year old boy pushing a toy lawnmower around after Daddy won't have quite the same cuteness factor. =)
Oh my goodness Sara, that is so awesome!! Little Jonah and Sean mowing the lawn together is the sweetest thing! Like father like son, what more could you want or ask for!
So cute... just me and my dad!!! p.s. sounds like you are CA dreaming from your comment on my blog! You should definitely visit, your kids would love it!
That is so cute Sara! My boys were out in our yard with Paul today doing the same thing. There's something so precious about our little boys wanting to be just like Daddy!
Thanks friends! This is one of those toys you wish would actually work...well, maybe only when supervised ;) We have a toy vacuum and one day Jonah was "vacuuming" for me for a good 20 minutes, and man oh man was I wishing it was actually working. The boy loves to help and I love him for it. I praise the Lord for Sean and the godly, hard working example he is to his son. I'm blessed beyond what I deserve.
Kristy - you have a double blessing coming - 1. a boy, and 2. one old enough to actually run the real lawn mower! ;) Just you wait!
After seeing a preview for the TLC show, 19 and Counting (the Dugger family), Stella says...
"19 kids?!?! Mom, like how much more milk does that lady have in her body??"
While driving in the car...
Ava - (making shooting sounds) "I just shot that car."
Stella - "Ava is going to be a tom-boy. I can just feel it."
Me - "Ava are you funny?"
Ava - "no"
me - "are you silly?"
Ava - "no, I'm da hoke" (Incredible Hulk)
Jonah - "Mom, do hippos have meat?"
Me - "Yeah, why?"
Jonah - "Cause...I just really want to eat a hippo. I have a bb gun."
After stopping at McDonalds, Jonah says to Stella...
"Stella, what are chicken nuggets?"
Stella: "just some chicken and...(long pause) some nuggets."
Jonah: "Oh."
Jonah - "Mom, don't cut my toenails, they help me climb." "They're my claws."
I was walking backwards looking at Stella. She thought she'd try to trick me by saying "Watch out for that bush mom!" but then she said, "Oh that's right, you have eyes on the back of your head. I always forget that."
Jonah - "Stella is your skin made out of snake skin?" Stella - "Oh, I don't know Jonah. We're studying butterflies at school....Mom, do you know?"
Stella unloaded the dish washer for me and said... "Mom these knives are HUGE!" "You could definitely cut up an antelope with these." (me in my mind thinking - antelope??? wha??????) she then looks at my face and says, "what mom, you totally could, they're really sharp." Well alright then, I'm going to go find me some antelope.
