Happy 30th Birthday Sean!

thoughts from Ava...
"Hey mom, got that black flashy thing again?"

"What?! It's dads birthday??!!"

"Oh I'm so happy"

"Oh no!! I didn't get him anything!"

"Oh well, he'll still love me... I mean come on, I look just like him!"

Happy Birthday Dad! We can't wait for you to get home so we can celebrate. We'll have some dinner - how about a salad? ;) Then we'll watch a movie - does the Aristocats sound alright? Then we can splurge and have some cake, we were thinking German chocolate!

Sean thanks for being such a godly husband, my best friend, and the greatest dad to our three children. May the Lord bless you with many more birthdays!

We love you!

My one and only Valentine

From the days

of young

to the days

of old,

Sean will be

my forever

On a clear stary night...

Stella's favorite movie lately has been Peter Pan 2 - Return to Neverland. There has been a lot of Peter Pan and Hook fights. Peter Pan played by Stella and Hook played by Jonah. I hear a lot of this; "Get down here boy" said by Jonah in his best Hook voice, while waving his sword around. Then the chase is on, Stella "flying" and Jonah running with a sword (hmmm...running with a sword...that doesn't seem right).

Last night Stella was outside with her dad sitting on her bike looking up at the sky. She then came inside with something important to tell me.

Stella: "Mom I need to tell you a secret"
Mom: "Okay"
Stella: in a hushed voice she says "I saw Neverland"

The look in her eyes was priceless. It is moments like these that I wish I could freeze time and let my children stay young and innocent forever.

Ava's growing by leaps and bounds!

Ava turned 2 months old on the 6th. She had a doctors appointment off-island yesterday. So far she has gained 5 pounds and has grown 4 inches since birth. We praise the Lord for our healthy baby girl!

Jonah also had a doctors appointment. Here's a little quote from him...
Doctor: "Jonah do you eat fruit?"
Jonah: "Yes"
Doctor: "What's your favorite kind of fruit?"
Jonah: "Chicken"

Hobby Time

This is one of my newer hobbies, making signs for people. So here it is, my "sign plug." If anyone knows of someone who might enjoy one, they make great gifts :) Or if anyone has ideas - different verses, colors... I'm open to any and all input!

I love it when....

...someone asks Stella what she wants to be when she grows up and she says "a princess."

...Jonah prays, because usually his eyes are open and he is saying thanks for whatever his eye can see - "thanks for my fork, my plate, my swings and my dump truck outside...." He can go on for awhile so sometimes we have to cut in with an amen.

...Stella loves on Ava and uses every term of endearment she can think of plus a few of her own creations.

...Jonah says "thanks for dinner mom, it's good chicken" when we're actually eating roast beef.

...Stella asks her grandma if she can help her with her zowing (sewing).

...Jonah tells you a story, most of the time you can't really understand it, but it usually consists of a lot of guns and bears. It's kind of like when he prays, if he sees something he'll add it in to the story.

...Stella and Jonah play hide-and-seek together and they take turns hiding in the same spot.

I loved it when... Stella said "mom Ava is so cute and sweet, you sure picked a good one."

Jonah after I told him to put his eyes up

Stella: "mom I'm so glad I have a sister so we can play together. But poor Jonah he needs a brother."
mom: "oh he'll be alright"

A little 'fix' of Ava

Here's Ava enjoying her crazy blanket made by her crazy Aunt Kelli - ha ha, just teasing Kelli. The only thing crazy about this blanket is how crazy cute it is! I love it and so does Ava!
