...there is a lot of dust. The windows are dirty. There are toys everywhere. There is sidewalk chalk, not on the sidewalk, but on the house. We have a stray cat that comes and eats our cat's food and likes to pee in our garage. I told Jonah he can practice on the cat with his BB gun whenever he sees it. We got a compost bin for Christmas. We're figuring since we have rocks instead of dirt, we'll just make our own. Also around the house...
Stella has been wearing her "country girl" shirt, or so she calls it. Along with her country girl shirt, she told me she needed a braid in her hair because, "country girls wear braids."
Jonah's learning to read and write his A B C's. I wish I could say it's an enjoyable time for him, but to be honest, I believe he'd much rather make believe his pencil was a sword or a knife.
Or pretend his paper is a race track for his race cars.
Each day he is getting better. We gave him a little goal incentive. If he learns all his letters he will get a new bike. So far we apparently have around 15 c's in the alphabet - it seems to be his, when-in-doubt-say-c, letter. :)
I'm still making signs. Tiffany and Deanna, yours are coming soon. I promise. Cross my heart.
Our living room has turned into jump central. As soon as we get home from dropping Stella off at school, Ava will run to the couch and say "Jonah, Jooooooonah! Jump!" And Jonah happily obliges.
Jonah got a bubble wand that makes ginormous bubbles for his birthday. Stella likes to make them and Jonah likes to pop them. The other day Jonah came in and his hair was wet. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "popping bubbles." Yeah, they're big.
My bed has become the hot ticket for jumping and watching movies.
Sometimes Ava "works" around the house in her "work" goggles. From the looks of it, it's a special kind of work.
Ava has staked her claim on the window sill. Whenever I start making dinner, she'll run over and want to help. Ava, listen to me, don't ever get too big to sit up there. Okay? Did you hear your me?
Sean started a big fire to burn up all the branches from the trees we took down last summer. It was a hot fire. Sean got a little too close and had some major singed eyebrows and eyelashes.
My dad got pretty close with the tractor and if the tractor had eyelashes and eyebrows, they would be fully gone. Did I mention it was a hot fire? One week later and it is STILL burning!
We have a few big mounds of dirt. It's where the kids like to play. It's dirty.
Maybe one day our land will be flowing with milk and honey...or maybe just grass....one day.
Ava can put on her own hat. I like it when she does.
Stella likes to dress up and wear earrings. It doesn't matter if she's just going out to play in the dirt piles, the girl needs her earrings.
After almost 10 years, I'm still madly in love with my husband.
and also, around the house...
...there are 30 little piggies I can't get enough of. Even when they are dirty like Jonah's. Or have horribly long toenails like Jonah's, which according to him, he doesn't want to have cut because they are his CLAWS and help him CLIMB.

I love it too...your blog, please don't ever stop blogging. Oh and Ava and Livi are so alike, all she wants to do is help me and jump of the couch or the coffee table. Good times!
Aw I wanna come hang out at the Parsons home! It looks like a blast! Your kids never cease to crack me up! I love Stella's latest quote about the butterflies. SO FUNNY! And the pictures of Ava in the window are just precious! Love you friend! P.S. I have your family's cinnamon rolls sitting in my kitchen right now. I already had one this morning but I might have another! The women at our church loved them!
NO rush on the sign! Enjoy those little piggies. :) The pictures of Ava in the windowsill are priceless.
What a fun post! Such great pictures as always. :) Happy Valentine's Day!
happy day of love sara! i thought for 1 second that ava was you sitting in the widow seal. i only saw the top of her hair at first but she looks just like you in that pic.
Jordy and I definitely need to take a trip to see you! I think you are living in my dream house! :) Sweet post, hope you had a great valentines day with your lovlies.
Sara...I love it. You have such an eye for these things :) You're gonna make a lot of people very, very happy.
Oh- and the kids are stinkin adorable too! Jonah and Mikey would be great friends, cars + swords, what more could a boy ask for?
Oh, that was great. What awesome pictures you take!! Love it.
I can't decide which picture is my favorite...Stella's big bubble (because it's just such a pretty shot) or Ava's goggles (because it's hilarious). It seems like I remember Jonah squishing his face with those same goggles once upon a time.
PS-we were shooting bb guns yesterday at my parents' house and I kept picturing Jonah taking aim with his eyes scrunched shut. It cracked me up all over again.
I love the one of AVa with the goggles! ARe you kidding me right now? That is the funniest thing ever! Just had a burger with the bun toasted and I told Liz...."just like Sean makes them on Friday Harbor!!!"
Love you friend!
Tori
Such a great post Sara! Awesome, real-life photos. Do you have the Leap Frog Phonics video? If not, you might want it. My kids learned all of their letters & sounds at 3 years old from watching that video. It's totally worth it! Just FYI.
Great pic's Sara!! I always love seeing how you capture such great image shots. LOVE Love love the piggies pic's. Kids toes are sooooooooooo cute! Could you please come to my house and help me decorate and take pics of my girls, pretty please :) Hope your doing well and I really like the pic of you and Sean. Where did you get your hat? Can I copy you and get one too :)

Christina
I always LOVE your posts. You have the best pictures and i love the quotes from the kids. I wish my kids could come over and jump in your backyard they would love it!! Such a blessing that you have such a gorgeous home. I hope to see it person one day!! Love to you and your sweet, sweet family!
Oh Sara, your pictures are awesome!! Although they always make me a little sad that we don't live several thousand miles closer so the kids could play. I love Ava's goggle picture and I've been meaning to tell you that Samantha has gone through her entire package of earings- she had to wear a pair everyday! :)... Had to post my comment "anonymous" since I forgot my pass word.... again. This is Rebecca! Love you!
